Second Life Geography
A grid structure is a part of the map of Second Life Multiverse that can be divided by its natural borders, some common features found in that area, common sim names or other principles that can be easily defined. A grid structure contains one or more sims. With some rare exceptions, a sim is completely inside or completely outside a grid structure. A grid structure is composed of one or more sims.
Based on their common properties, grid structures are classified into:
- Continents
- Isolated Sims
- Microcontinents
- Oceans
- Sim Clusters
- Sim Groups
- Subcontinents
- Transcontinental Channels
It is not recommended to use the term grid structure for Unassociated Sims, Void Ocean or Grid Sectors.
